"The Healing Lodge" is a nonprofit ecumenical faith based
organization whose purpose is to serve as a gateway to services, provide
crisis ministry and promote health and wellness among American Indians in and
around Robeson County. The Healing Lodge exists to
eliminate disparities for all and nurture a common hope for the
transformation of the entire community. The Healing Lodge exists to eliminate

The organization seeks to:
- Equip churches for holistic
health ministry
- Facilitate access to
available services for all people
- Provide training and
education on health issues and crisis ministry
- Enhance community resource
collaboration
Through
Ministry disparities can be eliminated
Faith communities nurture and provide social support for the well-being of those
that share their faith, and they reach out to those in need within their
neighborhoods and throughout the world. Inequities that create disparity in
the determinants of health for individuals, families, and populations capture
the attention of faith organizations and public health.
